Dhone pata diye moong dal |Moong dal with coriander leaves

Last updated: July 14th, 2022

To me in childhood, the only thing that would excite me was food. Be it my ma’s quick luchis and Aloor torkari, boro mashi’s kochu baata and shutki, mejo mashi’s dhone pata diye dal, fish curry, boro mami’s Mishti tok dal, Shejo mami’s baked dishes, mejo mami’s pineapple pasta and cashew chicken, all used to be the source of joy that I would yearn for. So today’s recipe, would be my mejo mashi’s Dhone pata diye moong dal |Moong dal with coriander leaves. Though I tried to recreate the same without asking her the recipe, it really came out nice and aromatic. Joy in simple dishes is what Bengali households were all about in the ages of only home made food.
